Our photo club has selected “Abstracts” as the photo theme of the month. It’s a bit of a vague idea but I’ve been experimenting with some photos to see what I can come up with. Sometimes mistakes help.

Traction on the forest floor

When you alter the aperture for a HDR  series you get a ghosts around some objects due to changes in the depth of field
That was a mistake, but the effect is interesting. Rendered this shot as  split tone.

We get contrails from flights going in and out of Boston
This one had a reverse pattern when it tore through the clouds
