Cape Cod Escape 2013 – Erosion

The Cape Cod National Seashore is washing away, no doubt about it. Every time we see a new variation of the steps leading down to the beach. The Marconi gazebo is gone, the foundations for the antennas of the station is gone. In 1996, Highland Light in Truro was moved back 570 feet.

Believe it or not they are building another house slightly to the right and back about 100 feet

Overlook at Marconi. From this vantage point you can see the ocean AND the bay and realize how narrow the Cape has become.
